Kobus Engelbrecht BVSc MRCVS
Kobus qualified at the University of Pretoria's Faculty of Veterinary Science in South Africa, and spent four years working in South Africa as a small animal veterinarian, during which time he owned and ran his own practice. He then came to the UK seeking fame and fortune and joined the team at Studley Road Veterinary Surgery.
As both have eluded him, he has spent the last few years at the surgery, and still awaits a call from Rolph Harris's TV vet agent ! His dedication to the practice, good client and staff relationships and previous experience in running a practice will stand him in good stead in his position as Clinical Director, a position he has held since July 2003.
In August 2004 Kobus was also appointed as Regional Director for CVS. This added responsibility means that Kobus is at Studley Road four days a week, while he manages eight other CVS practices across the country on the other days!
Kobus and his German Shepherds are actively involved in agility and obedience circles and are starting to collect a healthy bunch of rosettes from various competitions. His dog Zinzan currently holds the Guinness World Record for the fastest time between 60 weave poles.
