Operating theatre
We have two theatres used for sterile surgical procedures. Both are equipped with Anaesthetic machines, stainless steel operating tables, powerful lights to illuminate the operating field and scrub sinks where the surgeons prepare themselves for sterile surgery.
All our nurses are fully trained in anaesthetic monitoring and assist the surgeons while they operate.
As well as routine operations such as cat and dog sterilisations, we also perform a range of soft tissue and orthopaedic procedures. Fractured bones are mended by inserting stainless steel pins or placing plates, ruptured cruciate ligaments are repaired by stabilising the knee joint with artificial ligaments
We also perform many operations where tumours are removed, wounds are stitched and many more. In our practice we feel very confident to perform most of the procedures needed in every day veterinary practice.
